FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions about our services? You’re not alone. At Dust Kingz, we’ve compiled answers to the most common questions from homeowners, businesses, and contractors in North Richland Hills, TX, and the surrounding DFW area. From dustless tile and stone removal to flooring removal and demolition, our FAQ section helps you understand how we work, what to expect, and how we can make your project cleaner, safer, and more efficient.
How should I prepare my home before the Dust Kingz team arrives?
Before our team arrives, please clear furniture and personal items from the areas where we’ll be working. If we are only removing flooring, there’s no need to empty cabinets, pantry shelves, or closets thanks to our dustless removal process. Preparing the space helps us work efficiently and safely.
Can the team move large furniture or appliances?
We typically ask that homeowners move large items beforehand. However, if needed, we can assist with moving large appliances or furniture to ensure the project runs smoothly. The more cleared ahead of time, the faster and more efficient the job will be.
Do I need to remove baseboards?
We can remove baseboards for an additional fee. On a case-by-case basis, we’ll determine if old baseboards can be reused, though replacement is usually recommended because removal can damage the boards.
What if unforeseen issues are discovered during the project?
Sometimes we encounter unexpected “demo-and-discover” situations. If this happens, we’ll communicate any necessary adjustments to the plan before proceeding. These issues don’t always change the cost, but we’ll discuss options with you if needed.
Will the team need access to a bathroom?
Yes, our crew will need access to a bathroom while working in your home. We’ll confirm which restroom(s) are available. If you prefer we use an off-site facility, or if certain areas of your home are off-limits, please let us know in advance.
How long will my flooring removal or demolition project take?
Project duration depends on the size and scope of the work. Most flooring removal and small demolition projects are completed in a single day, while larger projects may take a day or two. We provide a time estimate when scheduling and communicate any changes if unforeseen circumstances arise.
Do I need to be home during the project?
You don’t need to be home while we work, but we recommend being available at the start or reachable by phone. This allows us to quickly address any questions or decisions that may come up during the project.
How do you protect my home during the project?
We take multiple precautions, including dust barriers, floor coverings, and our dustless removal technology to minimize airborne particles. Our team also cleans up daily—even on multi-day projects—so your home stays protected and tidy.
What types of payment do you accept?
We accept credit cards, checks, and electronic payments. Financing is available through Hearth. All payment terms are confirmed before your project begins.
Can I make changes after the project has started?
Yes. If you need to make adjustments, let us know as soon as possible. We’ll do our best to accommodate changes, but please note that modifications may affect the project timeline or cost.
